Health & Wellness Coaching – Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
1. Does MI Balanced Life, LLC accept insurance for Health Coaching?
At this time, we do not offer direct insurance billing, and payment for coaching services is the client's responsibility.
Some insurance plans, Health Savings Accounts (HSAs), Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs), Health Reimbursement Accounts (HRAs), employee wellness programs, or other benefits may provide coverage or reimbursement for health and wellness coaching services. Coverage varies by provider and policy.
We encourage clients to contact their insurance carrier or benefits administrator directly to determine whether health and wellness coaching is covered and what documentation may be required for reimbursement. We are happy to provide receipts or documentation that may support your reimbursement request.
2. Does Medicare or Medicaid cover health and wellness coaching?
We do not offer direct billing to Medicare, Medicaid, or other insurance providers. However, we are aware that new federal legislation expected to take effect in January 2027 may create additional opportunities for some individuals to access health and wellness coaching services through Medicare, Medicaid, or related healthcare programs.
Because coverage, eligibility, and reimbursement requirements may vary, clients are encouraged to contact their Medicare, Medicaid, or insurance provider directly to learn about any available benefits and reimbursement options that may apply to health and wellness coaching services.
We are excited about the growing recognition of health and wellness coaching as a valuable component of preventive health and overall well-being and encourage clients to stay informed about future coverage opportunities.
